Recommended agenda for a good day around Hmlet Kamata!
There are fun ways to spend your day around Hmlet Kamata on your days off, which will make you like your neighborhood even more! In this blog post, we’ll introduce some fun ways for you to spend your time near Kamata.
10:00-11:30 Spend an active morning along Tama River
How about going for a run or jog along the Tama River? Your footstep will become lighter and lighter as you run along the endless riverbanks. Forget about the hustle and bustle of the city and wake up with a refreshed body and mind. Golfers also shouldn’t miss the Tokyo Tamagawa Golf Club, which is a rare and spacious outdoor golf course in Tokyo. Filled with green and the sky spreading out, you’ll enjoy a good swing with a refreshing mood. Working out in the morning helps your body improve metabolism and promote blood circulation, and prepares you for more meaningful time during the rest of the day.
11:30-13:00 SPA&HOTEL Nagomi
After work out, you can sweat it off at the 100% natural black hot spring at SPA&HOTEL Nagomi. Located 1 minute walk away from JR Kamata Station, the facility can be accessed very easily. The hot spring water is naturally pitch black, some provide benefits to skin and some are for warming up your body. Relaxing in the large bathtub relieves you from fatigue, and if you want to sweat more, we recommend you trying the bedrock baths next to the big bathtub. It’s said to have an outstanding detox effect and cures shoulder and back pain. It’s great to have such convenient facilities close to Hmlet Kamata!
13:30-14:30 Pyongyang Raengmyŏn Shokudōen
For lunch, how about trying the highly rated Korean cold noodles? This restaurant often appears on TV shows and social media, and celebrities are often spotted here. This is also one of the great spots that can be accessed from JR Kamata station by foot. The restaurant staff are very friendly, and even solo female customers feel comfortable and welcome here as well. In addition to the famous cold noodle, the restaurant also offers a rich lineup of dishes, including Korean stew, intestines, and spicy beef soup. You’ll want to come back and try out more dishes from the menu, as enjoyed by all the regular customers. This time, I ordered the orthodox cold noodle. The noodle was very firm and chewy, and the kimchi topping wasn’t too spicy, therefore it’s a great option for those who don’t eat spicy food. My throat felt refreshed drinking down the cold soup. I’ll definitely come back here for more Korean food, especially it’s only 10 minute walk from my home.
14:30-16:00 Shopping at Kamata Station
After filling our belly, let’s go shopping at GRANDUO Kamata and Tokyu Plaza Kamata! It’s very convenient to have two shopping centres next to each other where you can purchase daily necessities, variety products and food. There is also rooftop space in Tokyu Plaza where lots of people come to relax on sunny days. Come check it out and take a break at the spot loved by locals.
Please don't miss out on the only rooftop Ferries wheel in Japan!
16:00 café time
Civitas, located on the 4th floor of Tokyu Plaza Kamata, provides you with the original taste of hot cake since 1968. The store features a retro and old-fashioned coffee shop decoration. Unlike the many Instagrammable posh new cafés that opened recently, Civitas makes you feel grounded and at ease. The pancakes are cooked on a copper plate, and are not too sweet even for those who don’t like sweets. And for those who have a sweet tooth, you can dip them in syrup to add extra flavor!
